HISTORY

The first memorable even of Valerie’s life (other than her birth which was only as memorable as any regular birth can be) was the drowning death of her mother, which she witnessed at the age of 2. Since then, Valerie has never gone near water, except to care for her personal hygiene.

Valerie’s father is a wealthy businessman in Zontanos who, while he did not spoil his daughter, made sure that she never wanted for anything. Valerie in turn idolized her father and did all she could to be like him. She grew up in his world of cutthroat world of business, where rules were made to be bent, if not broken. She learned lessons here well, in addition to the extensive schooling she was privilege to receive.

Her father never re-married and had no other children, so Valerie stands to inherit his company when he dies. But before that happens, she decided that she wanted to make her own mark on the world and chose to enter the world of politics, which was not so different from business, except perhaps even more underhanded, if such a thing was possible. Though she is rather young for a politician, no one doubts that she has both the skills and the drive to be very successful.

PERSONALITY

The most striking thing about Valerie’s personality is that she is very cold. She’s not emotionless, but her reactions to emotions are so small as to go completely unnoticed by everyone except the very few who know her well. She is always very business-like in all her interactions, whether they are actually for business or merely pleasure.

Valerie is very driven to succeed in the world, not only to make her father but herself proud too. Success to her, mostly on a material sense, is the most important thing one can achieve in this world and she is determined to get some for herself.

While Valerie is not necessarily the most likable of leaders, she does make a good one, especially in a crisis, because she always acts with a clear-head, with her expectation of obedience radiating off her and almost always being immediately fulfilled.

APPEARENCE:

Valerie has long, straight blonde hair. She is exceptionally tall for a woman. At first glance, if it not immediately clear whether she is male or female, an androgynous-look which she aids by wearing men’s suits. Valerie also wears round glasses, more for effect than for actual purpose, though she is slightly near-sighted.
